The BBC iPlayer is available now for download on your Nokia 5800 XpressMusic mobile. If you are in UK and bought the Nokia Tube recently, it may have come included with it. If not, you can download it right here.

You can watch and listen to the last 7 days of BBC TV and Radio programmes on BBC iPlayer on your Nokia 5800. BBC iPlayer supported features for Nokia 5800 are- Streaming TV – wifi, Streaming TV – 3G and Radio – Listen Again.

Though watching TV programmes while connected to the internet over a 3G connection is only available on 3 and Vodafone networks for now in UK. They are working to make BBC iPlayer available over more 3G networks (its still in beta phase). But of course you can access it with Wi-fi, no matter what network you are using. Also note, this is NOT the official release of iPlayer for Nokia 5800, it is the same iPlayer which is available for Nokia N85 and N96. But its tested on Nokia 5800 too successfully and so they included it in downloads section of 5800.

Testers reported that it looks messy sometimes on Tube 5800 but lets hope BBC will soon release a device specific version for S60 V5 platform which Nokia 5800 supports.
